Tom Richard

Tom Richard (Born 1966, Houma, LA. Lives and works in Monticello, Arkansas.)   MFA’93 from University at Albany; and a BFA’88 from LSU. Selected solo exhibitions include Coordinating Conjunctions at the University of Louisiana at Monroe in Monroe, LA (2011); Hands On at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA (2010); and Cereal Inquiries at the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock, AR (2008). Richard’s paintings and drawings explore issues of identity and history, combining images of toys and art historical references with philosophical and pop culture (specifically reality TV) quotes. He is a Professor of Art at the University of Arkansas in Monticello.
